Guardian Hybrid DC Power Solution Utilizes Renewable Energy

hybrid dc power
Coral Springs, FL– June 9, 2016 Green Cubes (formerly branded as UNIPOWER) announces the introduction to the North American Market of its Guardian Hybrid DC power solution after large deployments in Africa and Asia. Combining many years of telecom power systems experience with renewable energy expertise, Green Cubes has developed a modular and fully integrated hybrid solution for telecom applications.

These Guardian Hybrid systems combine all the features of our popular Guardian DC plants while integrating Solar and generator inputs into one solution through the use of the proven performance of the HCC Hybrid controller and FPV30.40 PV Converters. The FPV30.48 converters is an extension of our high-efficiency rectifiers. It provides 2900W of power to charge batteries or provides power to system loads from the PV array.

A sophisticated Hybrid simulation tool is also available to predict and program the utilization of each source of power. Priority can be assigned to solar, battery, grid and generator functions during installation to produce the most economical solution.

The Guardian Hybrid system can also operate in situations where the grid is not available and can be configured to minimize the use of a costly generator while providing 100% up-time.

Green Cubes (formerly branded as UNIPOWER) Launches New Corporate Brand and Logo

Today, we announced the launch of a new corporate brand and logo.

Our rebranding was initiated as a result of the company’s expansion through the acquisition of well known and established companies in the power business, including Bel Fuse’s Network Power Systems Division (“NPS” – formerly part of Power-One), and Integrated Power Systems (“IPS”).

“We have integrated the entire product line of these organizations into Green Cubes, and now it’s time to bring our brand into the future with us, as one united brand,” said Dennis Baughman, Vice President, Global Sales.

Our new brand reflects both the evolution of Green Cubes as well as the our vision for the future in supporting applications in the Telecom, Cable, Energy, Power Utilities, and Government markets. The new representation of Green Cubes also illustrates our investment in new technologies and product innovation.

“The new logo borrows from our original mark, while simultaneously moving our brand forward. We’re still using the red that represents Green Cubes – our strength and energy. But we’re also incorporating elements of ‘Technology’ and ‘Power’ through the use of the modern power symbol,” said Joe Merino, Vice President.

While the logo has changed to better represent what the company is today, we will keep the existing tagline of “Powering Technology”.

“Our mission remains the same – that is to remain committed to delivering innovative and reliable power solutions and customer focused service to our partners around the world,” said Baughman.

We have also launched a new website with improved functionality, a portal to support our sales partners around the world, a training program, and a series of training demo videos.

“We are excited about the future’, Baughman added, “This is just the start of many great things to come.”

Green Cubes (formerly branded as UNIPOWER) Exhibits at Upper Midwest Electrical Expo with H.M. CRAGG

We recently showcased our GUARDIAN 2U AND SABRE INVERTERS in our partners H.M. Cragg booth at the North Central Electrical League (NCEL) Upper Midwest Electrical Expo in Minneapolis.

The Upper Midwest Electrical Expo focuses on showcasing products and innovations directly related to the power industry. H.M. Cragg featured the Green Cubes Guardian 2U System and Sabre Inverters.

The show boasted a record number of 10,052 attendees and is the largest regional show in the United States. There were 363 exhibit booths and area distributors were expected to bring more than 30 busloads of customers to this very busy event.

More information about the products featured in H.M. Cragg’s booth:

Our Guardian Access 2U is a 2RU high 19” rack-mounted, integrated DC power system providing an output of -48VDC. These systems can accommodate up to 3 Guardian family high efficiency hotswap rectifiers. A total load current of 100A / 5.4kW is available with battery charge current up to 65A in addition. The rectifiers are internally fan cooled with speed control which is a function of load and temperature, keeping acoustic noise to a minimum.

The SABRE Series offers unparalleled flexibility of system configuration, but for most applications have similar requirements. For this reason, we have defined several ‘pre-configured’ systems with 3, 6 or 9kVA capacity. All pre-configured systems include a Static Transfer Switch, Controller and Communications Module with SNMP option already installed.

Thanks to our partners H.M.Cragg for featuring Green Cubes products at their booth!
